Hi, I am Vladan Ostojic. A photographer based in Chicago, Illinois.

As an avid traveler and adventurer, I enjoy discovering simple yet daring images that catch the eye. I am attracted to varying bold perspectives, angles, color and lighting, and I strive to communicate what I see with my audience.

I grew up in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where I earned a four-year degree in journalism. For twelve years, I worked as an award-winning TV Reporter, Journalist, Producer, Host, and Public Relations Manager in the entertainment industry for the most influential media companies in former Yugoslavia. Interacting with interesting people from around the world cultivated my intrigue in culture and diversity, as well as media and fine art. I am drawn to telling a story through images, using texture, surface, and shadows. 

I studied at Richard Stromberg’s Chicago Photography Classes, where I received excellent feedback for my progress in lighting. I also learned many different approaches and perspectives in photography.

I am dedicated, intuitive, earnest and particular. In addition to photography, I find joy in other passions when I can, such as traveling, the gym, and of course coffee.
